shine bright like a diamond this Christmas

i know the title's a mouthful but i really wanted to use RiRi's song as a blog title ever since it came out! of course, since it's still the 25th of December, i set aside time to post one of my Christmas looks. i've been eating non-stop the past few days with my family and can i just say my diet has been destroyed..bow.

lost in wonderland

here i am channeling my inner "Alice" which meant acting innocent and very prim and proper. when i saw this dress online, i just had to buy it even if it was too sweet for my liking. i wasn't even sure if i can pull it off without looking costume-y because i definitely see this dress as what a modern Alice of Alice in Wonderland would wear!

believe it or not, i adore cute and girly things since..well i'm a girl and let's face it, us girls have an innate kaartehan that we can never hide! we might act tough and independent on the outside but on the inside we would always be vulnerable and act so much like a girl.

anyway back to my outfit! since my outfit was really pale with the baby blue and blush pink combination going on, i decided to add a pop of color through my watch. it's a very eye-catching red hue that definitely added some naughtiness to my outfit.

sometimes we get carried away with fashion forward trends that reveal just a little bit too much that we forget that we can look beautiful in simple clothes too. i'm guilty of that! and i'm sure some of you are too. that's why we should always remind ourselves that beauty also comes with simplicity.

    cheers for the weekend!

vintage red hearts

once you go red, you'll never go back. i'm getting more and more obsessed with red lippies. there's something classy about them and yet it's not the boring kind. it's a statement of its own and can complete any outfit just like an accessory. i'm really not a fan of a full-on make-up face so i always resort to just using a lippy every now and then. and now that i've found my lippy match-made in heaven, i'll definitely be abusing it!

i played with blue hues and complemented it with red ones. i don't know if you guys can see it too but i think my outift resembled those of famous pin-up girls back in the 40s to 50s but much more modern and toned down to my style. pin-up girls' outfits are mainly consisted of heart-shaped tops and high-waist bottoms with matching killer pumps. i decided to revamp up that combination and went with my most dependable sneakers! nothing is more comfortable than a worn out pair of sneaks.

have you ever had that moment where you feel like you need more clothes? i always do, all the time! even with a closet full of clothes, i sometimes don't have anything to wear! that's why when my fashion juices are running low, i always search for inspirations online or on magazines and make do with what i have in my closet. this look would be the best example.

i've only worn this top once and when i found it inside my closet i was actually shocked! i totally forgot that i had this and so i decided to let it breathe. the moment i saw it, i had butterflies in my stomach because it reminded me so much of my peg: pin-up girls, and voila! hello pin-up model Patricia:P pagbigyan!

it's these times that i always realize that there's nothing wrong in repeating clothes. i believe that the most fashionable clothes are the ones that you can wear over and over again and would always make you look amazing.

have a fun Friday night everyone!

Rated R

receiving stares and head-to-toe eye scans have been a normal thing for me with my weird taste for fashion and daring style. i've always thought it as a compliment because it meant i've made a statement and caught their attention. ha-ha! i know it's not always that i dress daring and fashion-forward but when i do..:P my friends even made hilarious comments! like if i was raped or something..sa Tagalog ginahasa ba daw ako!

since it's Christmas season, i took advantage of it and wore this not-so-innocent-at-the-back sweater and besides it's in red! and to top it all off i wore my one and only gold sequined beanie. it definitely added to the Christmas vibe i was going for although i really didn't wore it at school since i didn't have the guts!

i love the ripped details at the back of my top. i really have this obsession with little peek-a-boos and surprises at the back especially the shredded ones! i've always thought it as instant air-conditioning since i live in a tropical country. wearing thick clothes was never an option since it would make me sweat a lot

when it comes to fashion, i'm always willing to try different things even if i receive those what-are-you-wearing stares. fashion is all about being daring and making a statement yet feeling comfortable while you're at it! a woman would always look good when she feel comfortable in her own skin and clothes. so all i can say is be bold and brave in your fashion choices and don't forget to be confident!

  don't forget to smile today:)

galactic

HELLO MY DEAR READERS!!! it's been a very long time since i've last blogged about my outfits and it's all because of not being able to manage my time well! school work had been nothing but a pain in the ass and i've been stressed for the past few days. every course that i'm taking now required term papers which literally drove me crazy. and to top it all off i was really stressed about our proposal for our thesis next term! it was definitely hard to find a panel that would accept us but thank God my group found our right match:> and at last i'm done with all the long quizzes and i'm left with next week to be done with my finals. YAY! that's why i finally found the time to blog *happy dance*

went galatic with my new galaxy inspired cropped top from Urban Hour and can i just say how i'm so in love with it! i've always got a thing for space shiz ever since i watched Armageddon. now that it's become a trend, i couldn't be anymore happy!

when i saw that Urban Hour was selling this top, i didn't think twice to purchase it! i was like possessed and forced to submit an order form. oh thank heavens for online shops! they had this top in three designs and if i really lost my mind that day i would've bought all three. good thing i still had some restraint inside me but it was so hard since they sell good stuff in affordable prices!

i accessorized myself with colors that would pop out and what's more eye-catching than neons? with my love for anything galactic, i also love studs, neons and skulls! they're just the perfect addition to my looks, espcially when i'm acting like a tough chick.

it feels so good to blog again. believe or not, blogging has been one of my ways to relieve my stress. i don't know how that happens but it does! and i'm just feeling giddy since i'm done stressing over school work and there's only a week left before Christmas break. are you guys already prepared for it? well, this Christmas i promised myself to be faithful to my diet since i need to be slim when i leave for my little escapade to Boracay. i really hope that i can keep my promise:P

   how's your week so far?:)
