shady skeletons

here i am once again with my favorite and only skeleton peek-a-boo top! i'm just so in love on how it's very revealing at the back yet it's not trashy when paired with a black brassiere. i went for something laid back and simple yet very fashionable for a saturday night out with the fam. had dinner at Robinsons Magnolia which is only a few blocks from home so i didn't bother to dress up too much!

what is more laid back than a pair of fitted high-waist shorts and comfy sneakers? it's one of those looks that might look "effortless" but i actually put a lot of thought into it. from the hair down to the very color scheme of the whole outfit was all thought inside my head as i took a shower. ha! yeah i think of what to wear while taking a shower. can you blame me?

also i don't know if you can see the bohemian that i injected into the outfit..can you? can you? if not let me give you guys a hint: it's in the accessories! i have always believed that accessories can make or break an outfit. like in this look, i used my weaved bracelet and peace band to accessorize and don't forget the shades! without these key pieces, my trying-hard-bohemian look won't be complete.

i know it's not the legit bohemian fashion but in my book it is! ha! do me a favor and just go along with my crazy mind. i always believed bohemian fashion is not always about wearing fringes, beautifully patterned pieces or even hippie bands. it's more of looking carefree and free-spirited that actually defines the whole bohemian style! so if you guys are always hesitating to try the hard core bohemian look, try something more toned down like show it on your top or wear a crazy hippie band..or maybe something like this?

in front of the computer on a Monday night..how about you?

fifty shades of pink

if there's a Mr. Christian Grey, here's a Ms. Pink for you! okay that was just so lame but spare me! i've been stressed with school work for the whole week that i didn't even have time to take pictures of my outfits. besides i was even so lazy to even dress properly! my week just consisted of knits and pants to keep me comfortable. hooray for backlogs!

i really didn't wear a whole pink ensemble but the main focus was my blush pink top. i built the whole look around it and came up with a very sweet and girly look for a sunday out with the fam.

what can be more girly than pairing up my blush pink top with lace shorts and floral blazer? don't forget the sweet looking accessories i wore to inject more sweetness to the whole look! i'm such a girl sometimes.

another thing that i love about my ootd was the big corsage-looking pin that definitely added to the sweet girl vibe i was going for. i actually bought it back in 2010 because i fell in love with it at first sight! i was actually hesitant to buy it at first since it's too dressy for just a normal day but who cares? i definitely didn't regret that i bought it!

have you ever had that moment where you're over thinking if you should buy a piece of clothing or not? believe me, i have that dilemma every single time! i was raised up to always shop on a budget because my parents always remind me that money's something important and should be saved while we're still young. that's why when i shop, i always try to think if i need it. if it's something that's similar to what i already have, i pass. what's the use of having two similar clothes? a tip i can give to you guys is always buy pieces of clothing that are of different cut, structure and design because i'm sure you will never regret buying it even after thousands of years.

shopping is something that needs some brains too..what do you guys think?

keep calm and wear peplum

i have always been a fan of anything peplum-y if ever there is such a word! it instantly gives that extra glam an outfit needs. it also covers up my bump after i chow down tons of calories which helps girls like me a lot since it's hard to always suck your tummy in. yes, girl problems!

peplum can create an illusion of an hourglass body shape that tons of us, girls, would totally kill for! i built my look around it and mainly focused on small details. i chose my Bershka aztec skirt to keep the emphasis on the peplum design of my top and kept my color palette to shades of green, pink and black.

i actually ransacked my mom's closet for this top which can explain how it's a bit bigger for my body size. believe me, without the belt the top would be unflattering and would totally look wrong! but i never let size stop me from wearing beautiful pieces like this one. i would always find a way around it!

i'm such a thrift shopper so i always wait for the sale season to start and i'm sure a lot of you are just like me. usually items on sale would only be in medium or large sizes which can mean the end of the world to some of us but don't fret! if there's no available size for you, try to fit the next bigger size available and let a seamstress do her magic! you'll never even know the difference, i promise!

it's almost December, which means hello sale season! are your wallets ready?
