a flower on my tea

i've always wanted to try having an afternoon tea in Paris while tasting on french macaroons. imagine seating outside of a cute cafe in Paris with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower and to accompany you a cup of tea and rainbow colored french macaroons. if i can have the chance to experience that in my life, i would die with no regrets!

having that scene in mind i pulled out a flowery peplum top and a bright yellow skirt to match. the flower pattern on my top made the whole look sweeter and youthful plus the skirt definitely brought out the details more. i definitely imagine myself wearing this in Paris since i always make it a point to travel in style but still comfortable. who can say no to that?

i'm definitely not over with anything in peplum! i love how it makes the waist look smaller and can create an illusion of the perfect hourglass shape. it also accentuates the hips which is helpful for a lot of women. i think peplum is one of the fashion trends that suits any age since it's playful and classy at the same time.

i know we've already entered the "-ber" months but i can't stop wearing bright colored hues. i think it's because i want to bring the mood up with all the rain that has been pouring here in Manila. the weather's been pickle all year round and i just don't know what to do with it! but one thing i'm glad about is the fact i can wear knitwear without sweating bullets!

it's a monday and i'm here sitting in front of my computer dreaming of things i want to do. there's nothing wrong in dreaming right? it's good to take a break and just think of the things we wish for and encourage us for the rough week ahead. have a good monday night!

smirks and boyish charms

as i'm writing this post i'm currently watching Princess and I on ABS-CBN and yes, i admit i'm the type of girl that watches those kind of shows:P some of you guys might not know what Princess and I is, well it's a night time drama or what Filipinos call as telenovela. when i have nothing to do at night, i would watch the line up that ABS-CBN has especially Walang Hanggan. omg! Coco Martin! i'm such a fangirl!

anyway, let's set aside my fangirl moments! do you guys still remember when i was saying on and on that i wanted a blazer of my own? well..finally! found this boyfriend blazer when i was looking for thrift clothes at Greenhills. everything can be just found in there i tell you! i fell in love the moment i saw it and tried it on quickly. the lining was purrrfect since i'm obsessed with animal prints. ha! excuse my corny joke:P

the blazer was oversize but that's one of the factors why i instantly bought it. it gives off a grungy and androgynous feel which is far different from how i usually dress. since the blazer is already giving a boyish charm, then i went all out and paired it up with skinny fit jeans. i'm falling in love with jeans all over again! i'm currently stocking up my closet with different types of pants and in a lot of yummy colors! of course i can't help myself to add a bit glam to the ensemble and went with a shimmery gold top!

of course, accessories should never be forgotten. i used gold accents and a big men's watch to continue with the androgyny vibe. i love wearing big faced watches even if it tends to be too big for my wrist! i don't know why but it has its own charm that makes me fall for them more and besides i don't want to squint my eyes when i look at the time.

i'm going to be posting twice a day from this day onwards until i have no backlogs to do anymore! i only have a few more to go so please be patient with me.:) on a side note, i just want to thank you guys for reading my junk. i may not be as good as other bloggers out there but i'm trying my best to keep you guys entertained with my random thoughts. have a relaxing monday night!

glitter scattered ideas

i love wearing hats and beanies, even if i only own a pair, not only is it a fashion statement itself with its quirky and elegant designs but always helps a girl with a bad hair day! my roots are beginning to show and i find it tacky sometimes so i decided to go with a disco-ball like beanie! besides i can't color my hair just yet because it might get dry and rough.

decided to go all casual and the girl-next-door type but pumped up my look with a gold sequined beanie. even such a small detail like the type of hat can create the mood for the look of the day. just imagine if i wore a black fedora hat then my look would've been more rough and a bit androgynous. now imagine if i was wearing a baseball cap, my look would be more "chill" and boyish. a fact i've learned is that it's the small details that actually matters!

i wanted to emphasize how small details are important that's why i went for a black ensemble with just a hint of color for a cover-up. i've always wanted to buy a casual LBD but since i haven't found the perfect one, i created an illusion of it! i was actually wearing separates and it's amazing how people can be fooled thinking it was a dress.

i didn't actually wear the beanie at school because i didn't have the guts! i have no problem wearing it on a night out or even an afternoon stroll at the mall, but i'm just not comfortable in wearing it at school. maybe it's because the hassle that comes with it. as students, we're really not allowed to wear hats during class since it's a sign of disrespect and besides i think it will be too much for an ordinary day at school.

it's a monday yet again and i hope you guys started your week right! i'm not one of those people that dread mondays, i actually look forward to it! it just shows how we're given again a new week to do the things we have to do and to undo the wrong things we've done. so you guys should never dread it! always grab the hands of opportunity and as they say carpe diem!
