torn.in.between.

another outfit from an ordinary day at school. i always go for pieces i can fight the weird weather with since the rain would suddenly be pouring and it'll be humid and sunny after a while. i don't know what's happening but all i can say is..i'm happy classes are suspended today! it's such a hassle when the university will only decide to suspend the class in the middle of the day where every road will be already flooded and traffic will be immensely irritating.

i went for a sheer shirt dress and a pop of color with my skirt and reliable flats. sheer pieces will always be my safety jacket with the unpredictable weather since it can keep me breezy when it's hot and a bit warm when it's cold. plus, the top is so beautifully constructed! i love the uneven black hem it has that makes the top unique and eye-catching and of course it's collared!

Forever21 black and white sheer top. Bazaar orange scallop skirt.

the top's sneaky with its back detail. since it's a black and white piece, i decided to have a pop color with my orange scallop skirt. it made the look more exciting than the usual black and white constructive look.

i decided to add a pearl detachable collar to embellish my neck instead of the usual necklaces. i thought my outfit is already a statement on its own so i went minimal with the accessories. yes this is minimal for me already! ha! if you guys notice i always stack myself with every accessory i can:P
Forever21 eagle ring. Bubbles black circle ring. Thrifted skull connector ring.
 Jhajing pearl detachable collar
Random from Hong Kong neon capped flats

it's my first time to try a shirt dress on and i must say it was very comfortable! i actually felt a bit naked since it was as long as my skirt but what the heck! the things i do for fashion! it's the thrill of trying new things that i always crave for. that's why i always experiment new trends and looks to learn what actually suits me and do not.

the rain's mellow today so i'm guessing classes will resume tomorrow. bummer! anyway stay warm and safe you guys and charge all of your electronics since we might experience blackouts. toodles!

athleticism

in line with the on-going Olympics in London i decided to challenge the new trend which is all about wearing clothes that looked like our old gym shorts and rugged rubber shoes. who knew that track pants would be the new in thing? well i didn't see it coming! anyway here goes my outfit for the day:)

i really tried my best to incorporate a sporty look with what i have in my closet and i hope i was successful! what do you guys think? do i look like i'm about to go for a jog or stroll around with my bicycle? of course with the exception of my neon accessories and backless top! ha! i just relied on my knitted gym shorts and sneakers for my look to be sporty and clean-cut.

The Ramp Crossings white loose top. Zara stripes gym shorts.
 Forever21 tribal sneakers

i've been seeing a lot of pictures lately with tall slim girls wearing track pants and heels together and i instantly fell in love! i wish i was a 5'6" girl as well so i can pull off that look but unfortunately i'm not:P so i went with the next best thing..SHORTS! they're my best friend in the whole world and i couldn't even imagine living without them. it's like they're made for petite girls like me:)
 H&M neon necklace

Nava neon studded bracelet. Cotton On charmed bracelet. Mango knitted band. Bench white watch.

i watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics in London and i was in awe of how people can unite for an event. imagine almost every country is part of this big event and the athletes really do give it their all. and of course, fashion was not left out! even the athletes needed some tweaks here and there for them to stand tall and proud to represent their country. i wish i can watch it someday. another addition to my bucket list!

although i'm really not sporty, it doesn't mean i hate exercise. i actually used to jog using the treadmill for an hour to burn off fats and actually try to be healthy. but i heard running for an hour can hurt my knees and i just got lazy to ever exercise again. still, i'll try to be fit again and try a little bit of sports if my time can allow me:)

stay healthy you guys! and GO PHILIPPINES!!

on.the.tip.of.my.tippy.toes

ok i know the title's a bit random..i just don't know how to title this post since my mind's a mush! it's almost midnight and i'm still writing a post and it's all because of the backlogs i still need to do. i haven't posted in ages and as usual, my excuse would be school work! the pain of being a college student..

i opted for something floral to disguise the bi-polar weather we have here in the Philippines. it had been raining non-stop this past weekend and it dampened everyone's mood even mine. i became really lazy and had no urge to go out. who would be excited if everything you see is wet and murky?

maybe that's why i've been wearing a lot of colors lately, especially bright ones, since i wanted to be source of everything bright and nice. choz lang! i know summer's already over but i can't help but let florals and neons still be my style staples. i actually feel brighter and optimistic whenever i wear something colorful and printed since it's a change from the usual dark skies hovering us nowadays.

Forever21 lace top. HipStop floral printed skirt.
random from Hong Kong neon capped flats
 Thrifted skull and love ring
Bubbles tassel necklace

i know you guys are wondering why i'm stuck with summer-y outfits when it's raining and all that! i actually believe that i don't need to blend in and follow trends all the time. it's a matter of standing out and feeling good about what your wearing for a particular day. if you're up for wearing all the colors a man could ever know, then go for it! just don't be shocked when people look strangely at you..ha! that's why my closet will never run out of florals and bright pieces of clothing even if it's outdated or in our context, baduy:P

it's still a tuesday night and i hope you guys will continue on staying warm through the rainy season. and don't forget that fashion can transcend any weather! haha! forgive me for my random mumbling in the middle of the night:P
