wore this last New Year's Eve and i can't believe i pulled this off. it was so conservative and toned down compared to what i always wear. nevertheless, i felt really great and comfortable since i didn't have to worry for unexpected peek-a-boss with my pleated skirt. i could definitely see Sasha and Malia Ann Obama wearing this walking alongside with the President Barack Obama! i kid!
i'm definitely in love with the details of my skirt. it had the right size or width (i don't know what you call it!) of pleats that made it very flattering to wear. the blend of colors was definitely unexpected! i never thought of mixing brown with different blue hues..experiment in fashion! since i wanted the skirt to be the main attraction, i topped with off with a white crisp top. what's great about the top is the lace details in the center that adds classiness to the whole ensemble.

there's something about pleats that totally gives off the impression of preppy and a goody two-shoes. it definitely hides the shape of our bottoms and doesn't hug our body that is somehow refreshing with all the body-hugging bandage skirts all of us have been wearing! and the skirt flows naturally that makes me want to twirl until i get woozy.

i accessorized myself with minimal jewelry so i got my trusted big-faced watch and a few slim rings and i was ready to go. of course, i couldn't remove the anklet i wore when i was in Boracay because i was so bitin by the trip! going to do a photodiary of it soon. since it's a new year and i'm turning 20 soon, my style is evolving. i'm more daring now and ready to try trends that are somehow unusual and i'm using less and less accessories!
also with the new year in mind, i haven't listed my resolutions! as i'm writing now, i think one of my resolutions would be to try to use make-up every now and then. i think using make-up is one of the things that is part of growing up to be a woman. although i'm already fond of using BB cream everytime i go out and lippies as well, i'll try to experiment with eyeliners too and maybe blush powders. yay for resolutions!
here are some of our photos last new year's eve. of course, the night was well spent with family. it's too bad i didn't have any pictures of fireworks but nevertheless it's a new year so..HAPPY NEW YEAR YOU GUYS! virtual kisses and hugs
