the.fighter.

"Give em hell, turn their heads
Gonna live life til we're dead.
Give me scars, give me pain
Then they'll say to me, say to me, say to me
There goes a fighter, there goes a fighter
Here comes a fighter
That's what they'll say to me, say to me
Say to me, this one's a fighter"

i'm recently listening to The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes featuring Ryan Tedder. i'm absolutely in love with this song! i have always been a fan of Ryan Tedder's voice since it's distinct and i just love One Republic's songs. his voice is easy to listen to and he hits the high notes so well. and the fact that this song is a collaboration with Gym Class Heroes made me love the song more! i love their other song too when they collaborated with Adam Levine..my future husband hihihihi:P

Forever21 heart printed corset. Cotton On candy colored jeans.
 Primadonna leopard loafers
H&M rings. Glam Rock leopard watch. Mango braided cuff.

anyway enough about my taste in songs and me fangirl-ing about it! on to my outfit and i just want to prove to you guys my new found love for jeans is really true. i've been wearing jeans lately, well not really everyday, and i think my skirts and shorts feel so neglected already! i just love the comfort i can get from jeans since i'm a mabukaka girl, jeans really are the best way to avoid peek-a-boo's without sacrificing being chic.

and of course to live up to the label of being a fashionista, i went for color-blocking! one can never go wrong with it since it has been the trend ever since people became aware of how good it can look. what i love about color-blocking is how plain solid colored pieces can become a statement in itself when put together. of course too much color is still a no-no! you'll look like a walking crayon box!

the tip is to imagine the color wheel and think about which color complements another color. and it's better to stay on that palette when it comes to your accessories and footwear. since i already went for a solid blue and purple color, i sported black accents like my black loafers and belt. my braided cuff from Mango even has some purple in it and made my look put together.

of course i'm not saying you should only stick to the color wheel. you can also experiment and be bold with colors but make sure the colors actually look good together! i think another tip is to use dark shades together or pastel shades together to have a more put together look. but let's always keep an open mind when it comes to fashion!
