a.childish.dream.

i don't think that a girl's childhood would ever be complete without them dreaming of being a princess and wear fluffy pink gowns. and we can never forget our very own versions of prince charmings! mine was the stereotypical handsome and tall man who would sweep me off my feet and save me from the evil witch! yes, the effect of Disney movies:P

you guys might think it's kind of random of me talking about my old childish dream of being a princess but it's not! my outfit for an ordinary sunday out with family made me reminisce of my childhood. i really felt like a princess when i wore this maxi skirt topped off with a very sparkly blouse. i know it's kind of too much for an ordinary day but i couldn't stop myself for wearing these two pieces together!
Forever21 sequin top. Trendphile Manila orange mullet skirt.
 random from Bangkok spiked flats

i have always been afraid of wearing maxi skirts since it makes me look smaller than i already am which can be so frustrating! oh the woes of being a midget! but i tried to be brave and test the waters and voila! this was my first maxi skirt, it's not a legit maxi skirt but it can pass since it's long at the back:P and i was just so giddy to wear it out the first time i got it. it actually fit me nicely and didn't make me look that small. that's why the fear of trying something different should be overcome because it can do wonders!
Cotton On charmed beaded bracelets. The Bead Shop statement cuff. Love&Sale spike ring. Thrifted vampire connector ring.

decided to go minimal on accessories since my top is already smashing. went for neutral pieces to tone down my ensemble like my brown belt and beaded bracelets. plus, the shoes are just to die for! been wanting to have spiked flats since it's a statement on its own and can be turned into a deadly weapon!

i think the dream of being a princess is still in the deepest corner of my heart. i mean, who doesn't imagine living in a palace with all the great clothes stored in a boutique-like walk-in closet! just imagine the palace of Mia of Princess Diaries 2..such a lucky girl..*sighs* anyway, there's nothing bad in keeping that dream alive. sometimes it's good to have childish hopes and dreams to get away from our daily stressful lives. have warm night tonight!
