if these walls could talk

as i said in my blog post earlier..my class Market1 had to go to a fieldtrip in Intramuros..the fieldtrip was led my Carlos Celdran..a man who is trying to change the way you look at Manila, one step at a time..he is a performing artist who is also ONE OF THE BEST TRAVEL GUIDES in MANILA..his routes are normally in the Intramuros, Escolta and the Cultural Center of the Philippines or as we all know CCP..the tour is not the normal one but more of a theatrical act and a spontaneous performance where he dresses up like in the medieval times.. 

 he's this guy here.. here he dressed up as a local Filipino in the Spanish times and changed hats as he went through the history of the Philippines that happened in Intramuros..when he was talking of the American times he wore an american flag design hat..HE WAS SO FUNNY..HE MADE ME LAUGH A LOT..i wasn't a bit bored..although tired and sleepy because of the HEAT

we went around the Intramuros by feet and by horse!:)) he went on talking about the Spanish times as well as the times when the Philippines was invaded by the Americans and the Japanese..we rode the kalesa! it was fun riding it again..when i was a kid i would always ride the kalesa since i lived near Binondo before

 it was so hard that i had to tie my hair that day..i put my hair up in a bun..

 i had fun in the tour..although i'm a Filipino..i don't remember that i've been to Intramuros even once..it's quite a fulfilling experience since i learned a lot and somehow Carlos Celdran succeeded in changing my view about Manila..he made the tour FUN and even gave us halo-halo to relieve the heat that we felt that day..

IF I WERE YOU I WOULD PAY FOR A CARLOS CELDRAN TOUR..it is so worth it! it's not like those boring tours where all the tour guides will do is talk in a boring manner..SO TRY A CARLOS CELDRAN TOUR for a change:)
