it's time

it's probably all over the news of how Typhoon Yolanda created havoc along the Visayas region of the Philippines. and it breaks my heart of how a lot of people are now suffering and trying to surpass this calamity. although we, Filipinos, are known for our strong will to continue living and smile it off, it doesn't mean that we shouldn't extend all the help we can give. there are a lot of advisories out there on where and how to donate and all we have to do is dial up the numbers on the phone. even prayers can be helpful if we don't have anything to give. it's only a matter of time that we learn how to give back all the blessings we've received to others who are greatly in need.

and it's times like this that i am proud to be called Pinoy. even with all the calamities that have happened these past few months, we still look at the brighter side. you would be able to still see bright smiles on the innocent faces of children and the tired adults would take care not only of their own families but also others'. i was very touched when i read an article of how the Filipinos would still share of what little they've received to the other victims. there's no doubt that the Philippines would be able to surpass and you know what they say..bangon Pilipino.

now, off to a lighter note! here's another ensemble where i traded my flats for some badass kicks. believe me when i say-nothing beats the comfort you get when you wear rubber shoes or any athletic footwear for that matter! people who quote that "girls with the right pair of heels can go to great places" obviously didn't know these kind of footwear exists!

i can just walk and walk and walk for hours using these babies. plus, it brings the little masculinity that you want in every look that you put together. imagine me wearing some dainty flats or a pair of stilettos instead of these babies, it would create a whole different vibe and would be very girly.

when i buy clothes, accessories, shoes and whatnot, i always make sure that they're fashionable, comfortable and appropriate according to the weather. i wouldn't want to be the center of attention for wearing the wrong thing! and since the Philippines always experience heavy rain every last semester of the year, these babies are so useful. i wouldn't be worrying about my shoes getting broken!

and now it's time to build from the bottom of the pit
