monster appetite: starships

dressing for summer was definitely a hassle! i couldn't wear almost half of my clothes- long sleeves and knitwear were out of the equation. that's why i made it a point these past few months to stock up on cropped and sheer pieces so i'll have instant "air-conditioning"!

when i saw this top at Forever21, i immediately knew i would end up buying it! the intricate lace detail in front was for the win. at first i thought it was supposed to be worn the opposite but when i tried it on, i was shocked. it's rare to find pieces that has the peek-a-boo at the front instead at the back so i was definitely sold to this piece! yes, i just have to emphasize just how much i love this top!

now, this top is the definition of instant "air-condition"! tops like these are always useful when it's summer or like me, you're living in a tropical country. it also has a low-back cut that doesn't make you feel stuffy as you do when wearing an ordinary plain tee. 100 marks for this!

paired up this top with an equally breezy high-low skirt because wearing pants when it's summer is just too constricting. believe me when i say that a girl can get away with anything, & i mean anything, when it's summer. cropped tops&revealing pieces will always be welcomed because it's just freakin' hot!
