shine bright like a diamond this Christmas

i know the title's a mouthful but i really wanted to use RiRi's song as a blog title ever since it came out! of course, since it's still the 25th of December, i set aside time to post one of my Christmas looks. i've been eating non-stop the past few days with my family and can i just say my diet has been destroyed..bow.

wore this to a pre-Christmas eve dinner with my father's side of the family at the Fort in Geisha. with the chance to go back to the Fort since i don't always to go there, i took the opportunity to dress up! i know! i'm such a girl! anyway, the last time i went there was practically last June so who can blame me?

i know Christmas is all about bright and happy hues such as red or green, i decided to go for an almost black outfit. i went for this wonderful lace number with specks of gold to add excitement to the whole look. the midnight blue velvet skirt also exuded the Christmas vibe i wanted! don't you think velvet is one of the things that's perfect for Christmas whether it be cold or warm?

i always thought that one-shouldered pieces don't fit me at all since i have a broad back and fatty arms but i was definitely wrong! with the right color, material, print and structure, it definitely compliments my body more. it's always about wearing clothes that accentuate our assets and hide our imperfections.

didn't really wore much accessories since the dress already made a statement of its own so a few rings graced my look. i chose a bright red YSL inspired ring so i can have a little Christmas color on me plus it definitely brought life to my oh so dark look.

my family went to eat at Geisha, it's a modern Japanese cuisine and since they have a 50% discount that day we definitely came out with big bellies. the food and service was amazing and i would be so happy to go back there after a few months. you guys should try it too! it's located at the new wing of Bonifacio High Street near Nolita. and here's a sneak peek of the food that they serve:

that's the end of my Christmas post! another Christmas outfit post to come so you guys be ready for it! and of course i'm very much excited for my 4-day trip to Boracay with my high school besties so i'm going to be MIA starting Dec. 27. so excited already! anyway hope you guys are having a wonderful Christmas celebration but we should never forget the reason why we're celebrating. Happy Birthday Jesus.

Happy holidays you guys! and here's a big virtual hug to you!
