messed.up.with.paint.

had a summer getaway on the first weekend of the month of June with my high school friends at Fontana. it was a first for all of us since we mostly spent time at restaurants or at the movie house or somebody's crib! the planning of the trip wasn't as pleasant as everyone thought it would be but in the end everyone had fun.

i actually had a make up class that day for one of my majors and thus my outfit didn't consist of shorts and a sleeveless top since i need to follow the dress code. that's why i came up with this look that is covered up and yet shouts summer! who say you can't be fashionable while following the rules?
Love Mitzie color splat top. H&M white pleated skirt.

after my class, my friends picked me up at DLSU so we can go straight to Fontana since it was already around noon. we had a stop over to eat lunch at Pancake House and the rest was history! i'll talk about our trip in another post along with some crazy pictures!
H&M braided bracelets. Thrifted  purple bracelets.
H&M printed sandals

i'll give you guys some tips on how to spice up your getaway outfits to the beach or just somewhere private:
  • always wear something beach friendly since you don't know when you'll get wet and splashed at
  • if you wear accessories, make sure it can get wet and not get all rusty when it comes in contact with water. beaded accessories or accessories with no metals will be you best friends!
  • wear sandals, slippers and any footwear like jelly shoes so that you won't get worried of breaking them
  • bring a small bag! cellphones, cameras, sunblock, sunglasses and all your personal things need some protection.
  • and lastly, if you got time, make sure your nails are done in bright colors like neon pink or orange. nails can be treated as accessories as well you know!:)
although summer is over, the beach can never wait! hope you guys can find some of my tips useful once you guys get the chance to experience summer all over again at the beach or an island. it's never too late for summer.
